Dream 3 development

This is the jellyfish I chose for Dream 3, I think the little fish in between the swirling tentacles really captures the ethereal feeling of the song. I was a bit worried about how the draw the long, twisting tentacles so I did some smaller drawings of it first. Though even after that it became clear that I mainly had to pull down from the jellyfish body and try and gets some swirls. I drew the body and thick tentacles separately to the thinner tentacles and from the little fishes. I put the jellyfish together so that I could easily use a light box to see where was best to place the fish. I've been working like this a lot lately and while it takes much longer to draw it makes the colouring considerably easier.
